MS Diet – Helping Minimize MS Symptoms Naturally

Although an MS Cure seems distant, a Multiple Sclerosis Diet may well be the key to minimizing MS Symptoms.  It’s become a life style for me. As a man who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 2 years ago, I’m still coming to grips with what this might mean.

When my neurologist told me of my diagnosis he immediately began talking about treatment options. He let me know that studies show that starting treatment right away was my best course of action.  I hadn’t had time to absorb the information before my doctor was off and running, talking about Copaxone, Rebif, Tysabri and Avonex, four of the most recognizable treatment for the disease.

Things were moving to quickly for me. My doctor realized that I was overwhelmed and stepped back to allow me time to process the information. He suggested and I agreed  that I should take a few days to get a grip on my new reality.

I took the next week to get adjusted to the fact that I had this disease. Prior to my diagnosis I never thought about multiple sclerosis. I never had reason to ask myself, “What is MS?” I was only aware of two people that had Multiple Sclerosis, Annette Funicello (that dates me) and Montel Williams. Realizing that I really knew nothing about the disease I decided to thoroughly research MS treatments, both pharmaceutical and natural, online.  Doing so gave me meaningful insight into the disease, its chameleon like means of expression and the potentially daunting prospects that lie before me.

Potentially, in this case is the operative word.  Although the prospects seem frightening I also discovered that many people with the disease live a relative normal life.  Some because they use pharmaceutical medication while others medicate through diet.

Since my childhood I’ve had an aversion to medications. I was constantly ill and on antibiotic for the first 9 years of my life.  Even now I prefer looking for a more holistic way of treating illness.  Granted, prior to MS my holistic needs never went further than Green Tea and Echinacea but I really believed that there was something out there, other than Big Phama, to help treat Multiple Sclerosis. And I think I found it.

While searching for something that would address my physical and cognitive issues, I found the book, I found the book, How to Reverse MS Now! The book takes an all natural holistic approach to treating Multiple sclerosis. It’s definitely worth your consideration if you are truly interested in regaining control of your life instead of the disease or Big Pharma controlling it for you.

I am not a physician  nor am I involved in the medical field.  What I’ve presented is learning that I’ve acquired that has helped me in controlling my symptoms of MS. Before undertaking any diet or change in your fitness regime, it is advised that you seek counsel  your physician.
